Welcome to the Heritage Center
Located on the west side of the main floor of the Lebanon Public Library, the Ralph W Stark Heritage Center occupies the original Carnegie building constructed in 1905. The core of the collection consists of genealogical and historical resources related to Boone County. The Indiana collection is also housed in the heritage center.
The Giving Tree
The “Giving Tree” is for patrons who wish to donate to the library in honor of or in memory of someone. Businesses,individuals and families can have their names engraved on leaves or accessories. Levels of giving are:
Bronze - $250-$500
Silver - $500 - $1000
Gold - $1000- $2000
Foundation stones and accessories may be engraved for gifts above $2000.00

Ralph W. Stark
1901 - 1984
The local History room at the Lebanon Public Library became what is now known as the "Ralph W. Stark Heritage Room" in 1976. Mr. Stark was a Lebanon businessman for 34 years, an active conservationist an archivist and a genealogist. He spent many years researching the history of Boone County which earned him the title of honorary Historian of Boone County.

News and Events
The Lebanon Public Library Ralph W. Stark Heritage Center, presents “Hunting, Trapping, and Fishing: A History of Conservation in Indiana”. The program will be presented by Stephanie Morrissette, Heritage Center Assistant, on Saturday February 25 at 10 a.m. in the top floor meeting room. This program will focus on Indiana’s historical and environmental development from the beginning of fish and game regulations to present day conservation efforts. This program is free and the public is invited to attend.
The Boone County Genealogical Society will meet at the
Lebanon Public Library in the Ralph W Stark Heritage Center
on Tuesday February 28 from 6:30 p.m.—8:00 p.m.
Research time for members will be available.
The Boone County Bluebird Society will hold their spring meeting on Monday, March 6th at 6:30 PM, at the Lebanon Public Library, 104 E. Washington St., in the Heritage Room. The topic will be “Our Past, Present, and Future”, with a program covering Bluebird basics. Christy Frampton, President of BCBS, will be presenting this program. Anyone interested in getting started with bluebirds is invited to attend. Literature and bluebird nesting boxes will be available. For more information contact firstname.lastname@example.org
